There are a variety of ways to get involved with SLH. All tenants who are involved with SLH will be offered appropriate training to help and support them achieve their potential. The training and experience you will gain can help you develop your confidence and improve your prospects for further training, volunteering and employment.
The Scrutiny Panel is a group of tenants who work on behalf of all tenants to ensure that the services we provide are achieving high levels of customer satisfaction and represent good value for money. They have a formal meeting once a month but meet more regularly when they are completing service reviews. Their recommendations are helping us improve services to customers.
The Scrutiny Panel have reviewed a number of SLH’s services. Below are links to the reports from these reviews:
Scrutiny Panel are currently completing the second part of their review on tenant involvement, looking at attracting more volunteers to give their opinions to SLH to enhance tenant involvement.
A mystery shopper acts as a customer who carries out tasks to help us evaluate the quality of our services. For example, you could be asked to phone and request a repair. You would then have to monitor how long it took to answer the phone, assess how you were greeted and how efficiently and effectively your enquiry was handled. You would then report back your findings accurately and objectively. The information we get from mystery shoppers helps us make improvements to our services. No experience of mystery shopping is needed as full training will be given.
This is the highest level of involvement where tenants can contribute to the running and management of SLH. If you are interested in becoming a Board member please get in touch.
