The first ever Liverpool city region mayoral election will take place on Thursday 4 May where you will get the chance to vote for Liverpool’s metro mayor.
This landmark election will have a major impact on the area and everyone who lives here. The mayor will have the ability to manage huge budgets and make crucial decisions on areas such as transport, housing, planning, employment, skills and economic development - decisions that are currently being made more than 200 miles away.
Everyone who has registered to vote should have received their polling card. The new mayor will initially be in office for three years, with a further election being held in 2020.
