Free lung health event coming soon to South Liverpool Homes

Published: 8 June 2016

South Liverpool Homes (SLH) have partnered with Age Concern Liverpool and Sefton to deliver a free lung health event at SLH offices in Parklands, Speke on Monday 20 June.

The event, which runs from 11am to 2pm, is open to people of all ages and is part of NHS Liverpool Clinical Commissioning Group’s Breathe Freely campaign, which aims to raise awareness of lung health.

Experts will be on hand to give advice on a variety of lifestyle choices that affect lung health, including regular exercise, which is one of the best ways of guarding against conditions such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

Everyone who comes along can expect:

  • A free lung health check for people aged 50+
  • A free fruit bag
  • Health and wellbeing stalls
  • Free refreshments
  • And lots more advice on health, activity and diet.
